31th Birthday.... Hmm

Part I - High tea at Cova located at Paragon.

This is my 'birthday cake'....each costs SGD2.10.

My cafe latte. Smooth....

Hubby's hot chocolate. Very rich.... he could not finish as it tasted too sweet when he finished 3/4 cup.

Part II - Dinner at 'The White Rabbit'

Initial plan was to dine at Lawry at Paragon. Change of plan last min...... hubby said I 'tekan' him cos he had to do research and booking last min.

I love the venue. It is a defining restaurant & bar housed in an awe-inspiring, beautifully restored old chapel just off the Dempsey area.

We were the first customer for the evening at 630pm. I guessed.

Appertiser - shallot tartin

Soup - lightly spiced prawn bisque.

The pic was not well taken. Main course - tournedos rossini. It was actually pan roasted tenderloin with pan fried foie gras. Nice.

Hubby's roast rack of lamb.

Side dish- Mac and Cheese. It was actually macaroni based with cheese. We were too full to finish it.

Dessert is a must-to-have to end the dinner. The White Rabbit Blackforest cake was recommended by the waitress. The cake was reconstructured just like the strawberry cheesecake we had at Wild Rocket.

Total bill ard SGD180.

Only managed to capture their restaurant's signboard after dinner.... it was too dark to capture nice pic.

We were at opp road in front of restuarant... too dark to capture sharp pic using my iphone.

The Rabbit Hole..... such a unique name!! It is at the back of the restaurant which is a bar. Nice atmosphere!

春到河畔 (River Hongbao 2009)

We went to Esplanade for a walk after dinner.

We did not notice that Chingay Parade was held on the same day. We were wondering the reduction in traffic along Orchard areas. There were crowds along Marina Square and City Hall. We stood inside Esplanade to view the parade for a short while. There were some other performances within premises of Esplanade.

We strolled along S'pore river and came to 春到河畔 held at floating platform at Marina Bay. Snapped some pics.....

Panda Diary

A documentary co-production of Japan and China was released on 29 Jan 09.

Spending over a year of shooting to follow each pandas to shoot an extremely rare material on the "way of life" for the pandas.

Kawaii!!!

Pierre Herme Miniature Colllection

Visited a blog of a Japanese and saw these minitures she collected. So nice!!!!

Collection 1. See how tiny they are placed beside a real size fork.

Pierre Herme lauched 2nd collection. So pretty!

The price abt 19,800 Yen (abt SGD333). Woah, expensive!! But the minitures looked very very appertising.

Niece

Went home on 大年初一 this year so that can have dinner with sis & brother-in-law before they return to KL. Hard to have everyone at home nowadays.

Niece has grown up a bit. The naughty gal is getting cuter. Of course all of us adore her.

Shopping with sis

Laze at Ohchacha to relax our legs and minds.

Ordered homemade Matcha Panna Cotta and ochacha silk (green tea with soya bean milk).

The Pana Cotta is very smooth and delicious. The drink is a bit ordinary and lots of ice cubes in it. =(

Total bill SGD10.

We dined at Wild Rocket Restuarant.

We ordered soup of the day (cream of carrot), tuna salad, laksa pasta & crabmeat pasta.

Hubby ordered lamb.

Desserts to sweeten the dinner.

Strawberry cheecake (left) is served in special way. Cheese, ice-cream, cookies and straberries are placed in layer in a martini glass. Very delicious! My sis's favourite.

The lava chocolate cake is nice too but we had similar cake in other restaurants too.
