Mr Cloud is happy today

I can feel that Mr Cloud is in good mood today. See how happy he is.....

Thick clouds ahead of us.

Space near my brother's housing estate.

View from causeway heading back to S'pore.

New Recipe ~ Cookies & Cream Cupcakes

Wanted to experiment new recipe. Hubby flipped through the cook book and he picked this.

All right, this is my first time trying cupcakes with icing. Looking forward to the end products.

The mixture can make abt 20 cupcakes although the cook book mentioned it is for 18 cupcakes.

After 10 mins......

After 20 mins......

Dressed with icing.

Knew that the icing will be very sweet as such I cut down the amount of icing sugar. It was wastful as I only used up abt 2/3 of the icing. I will be mindful in my next trial.

Decorated with chopped Oreo cookies.

Hmm.... not too bad for the first trial. =)

I packed about 13 cupcakes for mother. Brother & sis-in-law love it. Parents said the icing was too sweet and they had removed most of it from the cupcakes.
Verdicts: The icing is still too sweet. The cake itself is soft.
Thinking to apply just a thin layer of icing and decorated with more finely chopped oreo cookies in my next trial.

Rubbish

Notice the rubbish on the floor! It was so dirty. Saw this scene when we went to a coffe shop for spaghetti. Pity the cleanner who has to clear up the mess.

莲山双林寺

Since we were in Toa Payoh, we decided to head towards Lian Shan Shuang Lin Monastery (莲山双林寺).

Captured some lian hua pictures in the temple using my iphone. The quality of the images captured is not too bad!

The pond in front of Guan Yin temple.

Saw this giant lian hua. It is almost as big as my face!!! Believe it.
It is so beautiful.

I Love Pastries

Read this article from i-weekly magazine. Hubby promised to bring me hunt for this during weekends.
Amande: Located at Blk 520 Toa Payoh Lor 6#01-50 / No. 13a Kiosk @ TANGS MARKET

Almond tartlet S$1.80 (at bottom). Forgot the name of the bread on the right. It is blueberry flavour.
Macaroon S$1.20 each. We bought strawberry, passion fruit, chestnut and mango flavours. They have more choices and their colours are very appealing.

Othello S$1.20 each. Strawberry & blueberry flavours. Love the baby pink & purple colour.

Othello and Macaroon are super yummy!! I will be back for more. =)

Ping Pong Balls

Hubby craved for chicken rice balls since he first tasted them during our Malacca trip.

I searched from website and got this address: Good Year Local Hainnanese Chicken Rice Ball located at Blk 111 Toa Payoh Lor 1 #01-366

I would prefer normal chicken rice than ping pong chicken rice balls.

Beancurd and 'you diao' for supper!

Craved for the popular 'you diao' and beancurd from Gelyang. Knew that they moved to a new location in Gelyang.

Failed to find it during our first attempt but managed to locate it after getting their actual address. The new location is more spacious and comfortable.

'Mee Sua' , soya bean milk, beancurd and you diao.

Is Mr Sun on leave today??

I woke up earlier to prepare food for our picnic. However, it started drizzling when we set off to Sentosa. Hubby said it should not rain in central area.Way out from our block.
No rain on SLE but sky was getting dark.

Notice the thick clouds ahead. Sign of heavy rain in CBD area. Oh man!!

It was pouring on ECP

Ah Wang was totally drenched....

We parked at Vivo City for kopi hoping that rain would stop soon.

Now then we checked on the weather for the day. It was too late!

Decided to head back to home. It was still raining on the way home.

Our barang barang.

Hee hee. Pinic at home instead. Prepared egg mayo sandwiches (not pictured) and marinated chicken wings for picnic.

Lesson learned today: Must check with Mr Sun of his duty roster. Make sure he is not on annual leave.

Although, we RERGRETED we never check the weather forcast beforehand and there were definitely disappointment, I was still very happy and contented to spend that morning with my hubby. Thank you.

Panerai Drawing Part II

My panerai drawing for hubby was finally housed in this silver photo frame bought from Ikea.

He disaplayed it on his book shelf ;p

Ohayo Sunday!!

おはようございます (Ohayō gozaimasu).
On our way to Telok Blangah.

Here we come Henderson Waves

Husband was looking at the signboard for direction....

Uphill....it was tiring.

On the bridge

'Highway' view from the bridge

Blue blue sky

It is like a caterpillar.
We were standing 73.39m above sea level.

On our way home. The sky was turning dark. Notice the orange object at the centre of the S'pore Flyer. It was a huge pumpkin decor in celeration of Halloween. Ha! Wonder what will be the decor for the upcoming christmas.
